On July 28 the flood waters ran into Hindman, Kentucky and destroyed the shop of the Troublesome Creek Stringed Instrument Company. This is no ordinary company. Please take some time to check out their story and mission. Beyond making beautiful instruments, they support a culture of recovery - giving hope and purpose to people that have fallen on hard times.
Times couldn’t be harder right now. Cleanup has been underway for weeks and they’re just scratching the surface. They’ll need a lot to get back on their feet and continue their good work.
There is a GoFundMe started to help to rebuild their space and I hope this cabinet can help them go right up over their goal.

This Kentucky Spirits Cabinet is a dovetailed case in walnut. A sapwoody walnut veneer curves and shimmies up the arched door panels. The pulls were wrapped and woven in dyed reed and cotton cord by Chris Robbins, Director of Broomcraft at Berea College Student Craft.
